You know those times in life when you feel disconnected from yourself? When you’re not sure who you are or where you’re going in life?
Yeah, everyone does.
I can’t seem to go a few months without experiencing this lately! But hey, that’s pretty normal. (If you’re shaking your head, just let me have this one, okay?)
Questioning these things has pushed me to keep asking, looking, and reading book upon book, upon book.
The answers to these questions felt closer the moment I picked up “Women Who Run with the Wolves”. This book is the bible of feminine empowerment, and although I’m only a few chapters in (it’s a long read but well worth it), I’ve already learned so much about finding and reconnecting with myself and my intuition.
In her book, Clarissa Pinkola Estes says to remember that there’s a Wild Woman inside of you, a quintessential instinctual being that wants to get dirty and create with her bare hands, to create her own life, to break menial rules designed to disenfranchise and alienate her, to be free.
“What has happened to my soul-voice? In what condition is my relationship to the instictual Self? When was the last time I ran free? How do I make life come alive again? Where has [Wild Woman] gone to?”
To step into your power, to reconnect with your soul-voice, your instinctual Self, the Wild Woman, you must find phycic alignment.
Some people do psychotherapy, others analyze their dreams or make art. Some dance, sing, draw or write.
One of the ways I seek to align my path with my purpose is to read and study tarot cards.
This week I started #100daysoftarot as part of #the100dayproject. I’m so excited to continue studying tarot, to set aside time to turn inward and to reconnect with myself and my power every day.
To participate in the project, you choose an action to do for 100 days. Think about your goals, the things you once said: one day I want to do X. Can you turn that into a 100-day project?
You could do 100 days of self- love
100 days of painting
100 blog posts
100 acts of kindness
What would you like to do for 100 days? Tell me your ideas in the comments section and follow me on Instagram for daily updates on my #100daysoftarot!
